Purr Yoga
More than a novelty, yoga with cats is about joy, mixing energy, and making it easier to light the fire of compassion.  During each session the asana, or active part of practice, will span one hour.  The remaining 30 minutes of class will allow practitioners to find their meditative seat and/or spend time to simply enjoy sharing space and playing with the cats.  Class is open to beginners and more advanced practitioners, as instructors will always format class so that it is accessible and enjoyable for all.

Children under the age of 15 MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Sunday sessions begin at 6:30pm, please arrive slightly prior to start time to allow yourself to settle into the space.
The session start time can be held for about 5 minutes, but if you arrive and the class has already begun, you will not be permitted to enter as it’s not fair to those who paid and arrived on time.

Cost: $20.00 per person.
Take advantage of our 3 for 1 deal: Pay for 3 yoga classes and get the fourth one FREE. More

Today’s instructor: Alicia Johnson

Alicia’s yogic studies began 15 years ago,  and it provides her a source of balance and inspiration during phases of change, challenge and self study. To her, yoga is an earnest companion for growth that is both physical and mental – both are pathways for an initiation to openness, compassion, and mindfulness.  Alicia’s experiences and practice have brought her to many types of yoga, and from those she bases her teaching on an intelligent alignment flow that is influenced as much by her students as the surrounding environment (and in some cases an array of curious cats).  The practice she teaches makes use of creativity, humor, and mindfulness, all with a foundation based on the study of anatomy and the ashtanga lineage.  She uses the awareness of breath as a guide in telling us how far to safely go, and how far we can go.
